About SB5

Precision. Performance.
Partnership.

We're a small team in Plant City, Florida that sources the brush seals, weatherstripping, roller tubes, idlers, and endcaps your products need — built to your spec, checked before they ship, and kept on our shelf so your reorders don't wait.

Our Story

We started SB5 because we kept watching the same thing happen. A garage-door shop paying a markup on a basic roller it could have bought direct. A screen maker stuck with an overseas supplier that shipped whatever, whenever, with nobody to call when a run came back wrong. Good companies, boxed in by their own supply chain — no real partner, no straight answers, no say over their own parts.

So we built the company we wished those shops had. Think of us as an extra set of hands on your engineering and procurement team. You hand us a drawing, a sample, or the part you're using today; we match it to the right factory from the ones we've already vetted, check the work ourselves, and get you components that hit your spec — at direct pricing, without the stack of middlemen marking it up on the way to you.

Here's how it actually goes. You send a spec or a sample. We quote it quickly and make you a free verification sample — no charge, no commitment. You hold it, measure it, test it. If it's right, we run production and handle everything from there to your dock. Standard configurations land in about 21 to 55 days; fully custom tooling runs 60 to 90. Tight on time? Ask. We'll tell you straight whether we can hit your date.

After that first approved run, your spec lives on our shelf in Plant City. Reorders ship from stock in days, not weeks, and we'll set up blanket POs, scheduled releases, or an annual agreement if it makes your planning easier. The idea is simple: once we get a part right, you shouldn't have to think about it again.

Today we supply makers of motorized screens, awnings, shutters, garage doors, windows, and doors — plus data centers, HVAC, conveyors, and a long list of others — everything from fasteners and brackets to custom brush systems and aluminum extrusions. All of it sourced to your spec, because you shouldn't have to redesign your product just to get a fair price on the parts.

What We Stand For

We check it before you do

Nothing ships without a look. And before you ever commit to a production run, you get a free sample to put on your bench and prove out fit, finish, and feel for yourself.

Your spec, not our shelf

We don't talk you into what we happen to have lying around. Send a CAD file or an old part and we'll reverse-engineer the real thing, matched to what you actually need.

A partner who answers the phone

We carry the annoying parts — vetting factories, QC, customs, freight, warehousing — so your team can stay focused on building product. And when you call, you get a person, not a portal.

If it's on our shelf, it ships now

A lot of our highest-volume parts — brush seals, adjustable idlers, aluminum and plastic endcaps, idler plates, rivets, safety mounts, common fasteners — are sitting in Plant City right now. Confirm the match and they go out same or next business day.

Lead times we'll actually hit

Custom work runs about 21 to 55 days for standard configurations, 60 to 90 for fully custom tooling. We give you the real timeline up front — and if your schedule's tight, we'll be honest about what we can expedite and what we can't.

Always Improving

We're never quite finished.

We treat the way we work the same way we treat a part — always one revision from better. We're constantly tightening how we source, sample, and ship, adding products as customers ask for them, and yes, polishing this website as we go. If you catch something here that's out of date or could be clearer, that's usually because we just changed it — or are about to.

So if there's anything about working with us that could be smoother, tell us. We read every note, and the good ideas tend to show up in how we do things a few weeks later. A small team has at least one real advantage: we can actually change.
